TEACHING GRAMMAR STRATEGIES
There are many strategies in teaching Grammar. Among them EGRA/U, TRP, PPP. The strategies are explained one by one in the following.
EGRA/U
EGRA/U stands for Experience Generalization Reinforcement Application/Use. This strategy is used when the teacher introduces new tenses to the students. Here, the students are given exposure with some examples of the use of the tenses in context, it can be in a written or oral form. By having experiences in the use of the tenses in context, it is expected that the students can get the understanding of the tenses.
